INSTRUCTOR BIOS:

Dana and Stacey’s inspiration for co-creating the Happy Heart, Mind and Body retreat is to provide the space to reconnect to our playful selves and our innate well-being. To focus on what we want to create in our lives moving forward, and provide the right environment where we can reset and reinvent ourselves!

Stacey Donaldson:

Beginning in 2010, Stacey’s yoga practice quickly became her greatest teacher in self-realization and self-discovery. She found the connection between the energetic subtle body, mind and spirit captivating. Yoga continues to bring her back to the compassionate, courageous and wild human heart. It reminds her that we are not separate, but in fact connected to each other and the natural landscape around us.

Stacey’s classes reflect a creative, playful and strong approach to Vinyasa. She invites her students to quiet the mental details of the mind and drop into the natural intelligence of their body. Yoga and meditation continue to be a wellspring for healing, awakening and intuitive wisdom in her life.

Since 2015 she has cultivated 400 hours of yoga teacher training, including 330 hours in Prana Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training created by Shiva Rea. Prana Vinyasa is an energetic and creative approach to embodying the flow of yoga. Complimenting her Prana Vinyasa Teacher Training, she is a teacher of Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Ayurveda Study. Stacey also loves chanting mantra and has completed 25 training hours of Chanting: Yoga of the Heart, with Janet Stone.

Stacey resides in the mountain town of Crested Butte, Colorado.

Dana Hersh Don:

Dana was born in Boulder, Colorado. Throughout her life, she has been a passionate student of music, dance, yoga, meditation, and various healing modalities. She started dancing and playing the flute at a young age. After a dance-related injury when she was 20, Dana sought out alternative methods to healing, discovering the practice of chi-kung and the power of meditation and energy. This sparked her curiosity of how energy moves through the body, and how we can be the protagonists of our own healing journeys.

In 2009, Dana followed a heart-calling and moved to Argentina where she lived, worked and continued her path of self-discovery over the span of 8 years. During this time she explored the practices of sound healing, energy work, and in 2013 she became certifiied as an aura reader, which marked the start of her professional practice.

In 2015 Dana completed a 200 hour Kundalini Yoga teacher training and in 2018 went on to complete a 200 hour teacher training in Prana Vinyasa and a 50 hour training in Restorative yoga. Her classes reflect an integrated approach to yoga, with an emphasis on inner listening and the energetics of our human nature.

In 2016 Dana founded Field of Colors LLC as a platform to offer her services in the healing arts field. Since 2018 Dana has been an avid participant in various improvisational dance seminars exploring contact improvisation and embodied movement.

Facilitating retreats is an exciting way for Dana to weave together all her passions and create a multi-disciplinary space for people to discover their own authentic expression and connection.
